Taz is a mother, grandmother, teacher, author, reiki practitioner, body/mind/spirit facilitator, advocate for gender/race equality, motivational speaker & business owner.

After teaching for many years she joined the Top Carpets & Floors franchise as one of the 1st Indian female owners in 2009. In 2011 she was awarded the business woman of the year having secured the Dept of Water Affairs & Dept of Women & Child Welfare.

As a female of colour, tendering for projects had its challenges, which she tenaciously overcame.

Being the owner of Top Carpets Sandton, Rosebank, Saxonwold and Bronkhorstspruit, she empowered her widowed daughter, her youngest sister and other widowed sister as co-owner and operations managers, respectively. In so doing, the branches are 100% female owned.

Top Carpets Rosebank is 50% male and 50% female owned.
